Privacy Policy
Last updated: Aug. 04, 2026 · Effective for h-lelectric.com
1. Introduction
H&L Electric, Inc. ("H&L," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through h-lelectric.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly. When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, property or company name, property type, urgency level, and any message you provide.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure automatically logs standard technical information — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URLs — for security and site-operation purposes.
Cookies. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm exact cookie usage once Complianz or an equivalent cookie-scanning tool is installed — this section needs to list every cookie category actually set on the Site, e.g. functional, analytics, advertising.]
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide a quote or schedule a walkthrough
- To contact you by phone, text, or email regarding your inquiry, where you've consented to this on our contact form
- To maintain business records, including invoicing and service history if you become a client
- To protect the Site from spam and abuse (see Cloudflare Turnstile, below)
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Consent to Be Contacted (TCPA)
If you check the consent box on our contact form, you agree that H&L may contact you by phone, text message, or email regarding your inquiry, using the phone number and email address you provided. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of receiving service. You may opt out of text or phone communications at any time by replying "STOP" to a text message or by telling us directly when we call, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails.
5. Third-Party Services We Use
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the Site. Each handles data under its own privacy policy, linked below:
- Google Maps — embedded on our Contact and Service Area pages to show our office location. Google may collect data according to its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — used to prevent spam and automated abuse of our contact form, per Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- WPForms — the form software that processes and stores your contact form submissions on our WordPress hosting.
- [PLACEHOLDER: any analytics tool, e.g. Google Analytics]
- [PLACEHOLDER: any marketing/advertising pixel, e.g. Meta Pixel]
- [PLACEHOLDER: any email marketing or CRM platform your form submissions get forwarded to]
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- The service providers listed above, to the extent necessary for them to perform their function
- Law enforcement or regulators, when required by law, subpoena, or legal process
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets
7. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and related business records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain accurate business and service records, and comply with legal, tax, and insurance obligations. [PLACEHOLDER: specify an exact retention period if you want one stated, e.g. "for 7 years after the end of our business relationship."]
8. Your Privacy Rights (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we've collected about you
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights
Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no "opt-out of sale" mechanism required at this time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Site is intended for business and residential customers seeking electrical services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
10. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here; continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
